Stacy English, Agent

I grew up in Lafayette and Fort Wayne but graduated from Logansport High School. After that I attended Indiana University and graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. After graduating I moved to New York City and gained life experience in diverse industries. I am happy to be back in Logansport again with my wonderful daughter. We are big supporters of Logansport Music Boosters and many of LHS' sporting events. I also enjoy volunteering for many Logansport activities like the Taste of Cass County, Jazz Fest, Cause For Paws events and was even a T-ball Coach.

I have been at this agency since 2005. I started by selling home and auto insurance but shifted focus to health and life. As with all of our agents, my focus is helping customers with Senior Health and Drug Plans. I also sell Marketplace plans with to people under 65. In addition we offer short term, critical illness, accident or dental and vision plans. Long Term Care plans are also available. With so much experience with so many different types of plans, you can count on us to help you.

Wren Scherer, Agent

I am a lifelong resident of Logansport & have been proud to call it my home since graduating from Logansport High School. I spent many years working in the Restaurant/Service industry and decided it was time for a change in view and when I was offered the opportunity to try something new, I took it.

When I started working here in June of 2022 the intense training began right away. I am happy to help with answering the hard questions about insurance and hopefully making insurance a little easier to understand. I was thrilled to be offered a position with Stacy and her wonderful team. It is not hard to work with others who truly enjoy working together and helping our community in such a way that helps people have a better understanding of the world of insurance.

During my downtime, Evan and I are always busy with our children’s extracurricular activities, and we thoroughly enjoy raising them in the community that we serve. Summer evenings with our family are spent by the pool or taking short family adventures or simply going for a walk with our dog Maggie.

The old saying that "when one door closes, another will open" is true for me. After leaving a company that I worked at for thirty years, I accepted a temporary position here. Now I am a licensed agent at this wonderful company.

I have been married for 42 years. We have three children and six grandchildren. I have lived in Logansport my whole life, along with many relatives. I graduated from Lewis Cass High School and worked for the past twenty years in Human Resources (payroll/benefits). I am a member of Delta Theta Chi Sorority, where I'm currently the president. I also have been a member of the Women's VFW Auxiliary for many years.

The few jobs I have had in my life have always involved taking care of people. I look forward to continuing this practice by helping with Senior Health & Drug Plans.

Laura Albright

Stephanie Bender, Agent

Greetings! I am honored to be a part of the team here at Hometown Health Solutions. I started working for the Agency in 2015 as a part time application processor. I became a full-time employee in 2016 and a fully licensed agent in early 2017. In addition to helping the senior community with their health insurance needs, I also provide Notary Services, Income Tax Return Preparation and Bookkeeping Services.

Logansport has always been my home, and it is where my husband, Mark, and I are raising our amazing and talented children. I graduated from Logansport High School in 1997. I attended Trine University in beautiful downtown Logansport and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.

In May of 2020, I graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Since that time, I have completed numerous tax preparation and certification courses and am a Registered Tax Return Preparer participating in the IRS Annual Filing Season Program. Our agency has been registered with the IRS to provide E-filing services since May of 2021.

The IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) aims to recognize the efforts of income tax return preparers who aspire to a higher level of professionalism. AFSP participants are included in a public database of return preparers on the IRS website. These participants have limited representation rights, meaning they can represent clients whose returns they prepared and signed, before revenue agents, customer service representatives, and similar IRS employees, including the Taxpayer Advocate Service.

I am blessed to have the opportunity to serve the community in which I grew up and am happy to help in any way that I am able!

Quade Burgess, Agent

I was born and raised in a small family home on the Wabash River right here in Logansport. I graduated from Logansport High School in 2017. I then went on to study business at The International Business College of Fort Wayne where I obtained my associate degree in business. After I returned home from college, I decided to pursue a career within the community that I was raised in. After trying a few different jobs, I found my passion for helping people within the insurance industry. Recently I have started a brand-new journey of becoming a husband, a father, and a homeowner. Our child is due to arrive in early December 2024. Our goal is to raise our children in the community that I enjoy serving and giving back to. I look forward to helping everyone that needs our assistance, whether it be a family member, neighbor, or a new friend that comes through our doors.

Dave has been a kind and strong leader of our agency for many years. His guiding principal has always been to educate the customer on all available options (whether they are sold by our agency or not) and let them make the decision that best suits their needs. He will be greatly missed!
